Praying for One Another – Gift of Love

Picture yourself in this situation, your spouse comes to you for advice or help with a problem that is going on with them.  They are deeply troubled and hurting.  You want to help but you can’t fix it with or without their help.  You have tried everything in your power “humanly” possible to get their pain to subside.  You love them so much you feel every bit of their pain as well.  You feel helpless…….but wait, there is THE one thing you can always do in every troubling situation………YOU CAN PRAY!

Do you feel special when someone tells you that they are praying for you.  Receiving a prayer is getting a special gift, not a human gift, but a spiritual gift……even better.  On the flip side, having the opportunity to send such a powerful gift, usually takes that Image result for the power of prayer“helplessness” away.  In fact, you gave the best gift………the gift of love (in the form of a prayer)…… of all.

“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Eph. 3:17–19).
